Paci Free!!!
Ok, I know it seems harsh, but it just kind of happened. One day last week, when I dropped Ashley off at Jenee's, her paci got lost. When Jenee took her to "Mawmaw's" house (Vickie, her sitter), she didn't have it. Needless to say, she didn't have it all day, so when I got there to pick her up, I decided to just let it be gone. It wasn't nearly as hard as the bottle was. She would ask where it was, I'd tell her it was "bye bye" or "in the garbage" and she'd repeat whatever and then go on her merry little way. HOWEVER, last night, I'm in the kitchen cooking supper and I hear her coming in a kinda robust, robotic manner. She walks into the kitchen with her chest all stuck out with pride and a paci stuck in her mouth! I like to have DIED!!!! She evidently found one of the two hundred she's lost in the house over the past two years. I said, "OH NO!!!" and yanked it out of her mouth and told her how nasty it was because it had been in the garbage. She pitched about a 15 minute fit and then she was done. It was over....WHEW!!!! That was close!

Post 100!!!
I thought I'd take my 100th post (can you believe it??) to share some shots over the past few months.
This is Ashley eating her first pb&j:

This is watching Alabama play in the Sugar Bowl:

This is when Ashley was sick and being babied. She was sitting in her Dora chair in her Dora pajamas with her Carebears blanket and her boppy pillow...can I say spoiled???

This is her passed out in her room on her little sofa where she was watching "Max & Ruby:"

And, finally...some shots from family dinner night where her and Jason play/fight - whatever you want to call it:

Needless to say, this "baby doll stroller" is now officially garbage because they broke it, just like her tent playhouse.

Spring is just around the corner!
With spring just around the corner, I thought I would take some time to reflect on Ashley's two years and how much she has grown; not just physically, but also mentally, expressively and independently. It seems as though she is just this little person now. Wasn't it just yesterday that she was a little newborn who I could just cuddle and hold in my arms for hours? I know that I shouldn't be sad, but sometimes I am. My baby girl is growing up-all too fast.
All she talks about these days is pee-peeing in the potty and Dora panties. We've started the discipline full fledged now as well, with time-out in the form of standing in the corner until she quits throwing whatever fit suits her fancy at the time. I think that I'm most proud to report that we have been BOTTLE FREE for a week now. I think it's safe to say that the bottle is no more!!! YAY!!!! I know all of you out there who have been on me to cut the nipple will be jumping for joy at this news. She has become quite fond of her Tummy Tickler juice bottle with Buzz Lightyear as the head. Now, instead of "bottle, bottle, bottle" I hear "Buzz, Buzz, Buzz" - but hey - it beats the alternative, right?

I'm sure that "Mi-Mim" will be in hot pursuit of this year's Easter dress as well. My, how time flies! Hippity Hop Hop, Easter's on it's way!!
