First and foremost, Ashley would like to give a BIG ROOOOOOLLLLLLL TIDE, ROLL!!!!!! Congrats to Alabama and Coach Saben for a 41-38 victory over Arkansas! Now, they are ranked # 16 - Whooo Hoooo!!!! It was definitely the hat that helped us win! I was fortunate enough this weekend to obtain from Grandmomie the "original" Bear Bryant hat that belonged to Grandaddy. He bought this back when the Bear was coaching. I also was lucky enough to get his Alabama leather belt that he had made in the Smokies. Ashley will inherit these when I die, but until then, we've got a picture of her in the hat (not that it's hers yet!).
With the game being on late, it proved to be too much for my angel, she was pooped and fell asleep before half-time.
In fact, she slept pretty much every chance she got on Saturday. She was one sleepy girl!

May I introduce to you....Chet, Jr.
Ashley's weekend did not end with the Alabama game, she also has learned a new word. "Hey" is the new favorite word. She also had a good day in church Sunday, while wearing her brand new dress that Grandmommie bought her. Here she is with me and her Aunt Jenee, and playing on the bouncy horse in the nursery.

Sunday afternoon, while I was giving her Daddy a haircut on the back porch, Ashley enjoyed a biter biscuit. She loves them so much, but they are quite messy. Here are some shots of that.

She had her 9-month check-up yesterday and though she did not have to get any shots this time, she screamed as if someone had cut off her leg. She definitely has a set of lungs on her! Dr. Sabens says that she is "small and tall" as she weighs 17 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. and is 28 inches long. He said that she looks "beautiful" and seems to be a "very happy baby" and that her top gums are prominent, which means that she could cut another tooth any day.
She is also saying some variation of "Pat-a-cake" and will clap her hands together. She learned this at Maw-Maw's house yesterday and surprised me by saying it when I picked her up. Of course, only WE know that is what she's saying. The average person would know it as babble. But, again...I think I have a genius on my hands!!! Isn't it a mother's right to brag? ;-)
